The reelection campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari took a life of its own at the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.
Adebayo Shittu, minister of communications, who is chairman of Muhammadu Buhari/Osinbajo Support Group, came along with a bag full of caps which has the inscription ‘Continuity ’19: Muhammadu Buhari/Osinbajo’.
Shittu, who wore the cap, distributed some to the ministers in attendance.
Shortly before the commencement of the meeting presided over by the president, the minister handed over the bag to the council’s secretariat staff members.
The workers are the ones saddled with the responsibility of distributing council documents and other items to members.
Photojournalists captured Shittu as he was exchanging pleasantries with some of his colleagues.
The caps were reportedly part of the souvenirs given to those who attended the inauguration of the campaign office of Buhari in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
Shittu is eyeing the governorship seat and this has created a feud between him and the incumbent governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
