NNPC moves to create incentives for investors in gas value chain

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has started the process of creating incentives for investors across all parts of the gas value chain to ensure maximum use of the nation’s vast resource.

Group Managing Director of the corporation, Maikanti Baru, who disclosed this following the courtesy visit to him by members of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA), said that NNPC would support the association to ensure the country derives maximum benefit from its huge gas resource in line with the objectives of the NGA.

He stated, “NGA is a reflection of the development of the gas industry in Nigeria and the Corporation would continue to provide the association with human and material resources”.

He also said that NNPC has a moral and strategic interest in ensuring the continuous existence and sustained growth of the association as the nation’s premier gas association.

Baru thanked the members of the association for their advocacy in the review of the production sharing contracts gas terms.

President of the NGA, Bolaji Ogunsanya commended NNPC for its support for the association, while pledging the readiness of his members to work with the NNPC in this regard.
