109 ‘stranded’ Nigerians return from Libya

 

At least 109 Nigerians reportedly stranded in Libya returned home on Tuesday.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said the returnees were assisted back to the country through the special intervention of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

The returnees arrived aboard Al Buraq Air Boeing 737-800 with registration number 5A-DMG, which touched down at the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos.

The Lagos Territorial Office Coordinator for NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

The returnees comprised 52 adult males, 46 adult females, two female children, four male children and five infants.

The flight landed at about 17.55 hours.
