Eleven ships are currently discharging petroleum products and other commodities at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Friday.
NPA explained that the ships were at the ports discharging buck wheat, petrol, empty containers, aviation fuel, Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO), containers and diesel.
Thirty-three ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Lagos ports between Nov. 18 and Dec. 3.
NPA said that the expected ships would ferry into the country, bulk sugar, base oil, general cargoes, bulk gypsum, containers, aviation fuel, crude palm olein, diesel and petrol.
27 ships were expected in Nov. 14; 30 ships in Nov. 15 and 32 ships in Nov. 17.
Six ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with bulk fertiliser, bulk sugar, diesel and petrol.
