A 22-year-old man, identified as Onyeka Omale, was on Friday arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing four pieces of sensor remote keys of Lexus ES 350 Jeep at Apapa.
Omale is facing a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Inspector Edet Ekp, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on September 24, 2018 at about 10am at Clear Way, Tokunbo Park, Olodi-Apapa.
“The defendant conspired together with others at large to steal four pieces of sensor remote keys of Lexus ES 350 Jeep valued at N100,000 each. Total value being N400,000 property of one Emeka Opanka,” Ekpo said.
According to him, the offences are punishable under sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him.
Magistrate, Nurudeen Layeni adjourned the case till November 29, 2018 for facts and sentence.
