No fewer than 95 ships are expected to discharge various items at ports and jetties under the Lagos Pilotage District (LPD) over the next three weeks.
According to a schedule of ships expected at the LPD released daily by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and made available to SHIPS & PORTS DAILY, the expected ships will bring in sundry consumer goods including bulk wheat, petroleum products, bulk fertiliser, new and used vehicles, bulk malt, frozen fish and a patrol boat.
The document indicated that some of the ships would also sail in with steel products, general cargo and containers.

The NPA said that two ships – MV Tai Health and MV Energy Ranger – were waiting to discharge steel products and bulk fertiliser, respectively.
It also reported that 10 fuel-laden ships were also waiting to berth and discharge at the oil terminals.
The document indicated that eight of the ships were laden with petrol; one was laden with bulk gas and another contained base-oil.
The fuel-laden ships will berth at the Single Buoy Mooring (SBM), New Oil Jetty (NOJ), Bulk Oil Plant (BOP) and Atlas Cove Jetty.
