A former Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman, has been bereaved following the death of her younger brother, Hussaini Bala Usman.
Hussaini passed away last Saturday after a brief illness. He was laid to rest on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in accordance with Islamic rites.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. This is to sadly announce the passing of Hussaini Bala Usman, the younger brother of Hadiza Bala Usman. He died after a brief illness,” a statement issued by the family read.
It added that the Janazah prayer was held at the National Assembly Jummu’ah Mosque, Zone E, Apo Legislators’ Quarters, Abuja.
“He was buried on Sunday, February 1, 2026, according to Islamic rites. The Janazah prayer held at 1:00pm at the National Assembly Jummu’ah Mosque, Zone E, Apo Legislators’ Quarters, Abuja. Please keep him in your prayers,” the statement concluded.
