The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has dismissed claims that its governor, Godwin Emefiele has been sacked.
The Director, Corporate Communications of CBN, Isaac Okorafor said there was no iota of truth in rumours making the rounds on social media on Monday about Emefiele’s purported sack.
An online medium had reported on Monday afternoon that the CBN governor had been sacked by the President Muhammadu Buhari and given two weeks to clear his table and handover to an unnamed successor.
