Nwaolisa, the immediate past Secretary of the ANLCA PTML Chapter, publicly renounced ANLCA to be reinstated as a member of NAGAFF at an ceremony at the FREIGHT FORWARDERS VILLAGE National Headquarters of NAGAFF in Apapa, Lagos, on Tuesday.
It would be recalled that Nwaolisa, even though not a candidate, rubbished the conduct of the ANLCA Western Zone chapters elections, accusing the ANLCA national leadership of allegedly manipulating the elections, even as he casts doubts on the impartiality of the Elections Petitions Panel set up by the leadership to investigate allegations of malpractices during the elections.
Nwaolisa, who refers to his leaving ANLCA for NAGAFF as “growing” rather than “decamping”, said that his decision to go back to NAGAFF was, according to him, because ANLCA fell short of his expectations, especially concerning its recently held elections.
“I delved into ANLCA thinking that they are serious about what they are doing but, unfortunately, I found out that it is an organization that rally people around them as followers without exuding leadership rather they use positions of authority given to them by electoral process to make their money. I am a radical-minded person and cannot be found amongst such people. So, it’s not about decamping but about growing,” Nwaolisa said.
He said that his decision to return to NAGAFF is justified because, according to him, “there are a lot of changes in NAGAFF of today.”
It would seem like Nwaolisa’s return was expected by the NAGAFF High Command, which not only promptly reinstated into the membership, but also appointed him Vice President, NAGAFF Western Zone.
