ANLCA confirms withdrawal from MAAG

The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) on Thursday announced that it had withdrawn its membership of Maritime Advocacy and Action Group (MAAG).

The association, in a statement made available to SHIPS & PORTS DAILY in Lagos on Thursday said that it had notified MAAG of the decision.

The statement, signed by ANLCA’s National Secretary, Dr. Emmanuel Oparah, stated that the decision to withdraw from MAAG was taken at a well-attended meeting by its national leaders.

It explained that the association withdrew its membership because MAAG appeared to be losing focus.

The statement added that ANLCA may not reverse the decision ”until otherwise directed by the association’s national executive council”.
