ANLCA POLLS: Shittu denies sponsoring candidates

National President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Prince Olayiwola Shittu, has refuted allegations that he is sponsoring certain candidates in the forthcoming ANLCA Western Zone Chapter elections.
Shittu, while addressings the candidates, who attended the ANLCA Two-day Mandatory Training Programme held in conjunction with Multimix Academy last weekend in Lagos, stoutly denied sponsoring any of the contestants in the forthcoming polls.

He stressed that he does not need to favour any of the candidates, since, according to him, he has the constitutional powers to remove any official that fails to execute the expected brief.
In his words: “I want to re-emphasise that I, as the President of ANLCA, is not sponsoring anybody in this election. It might be difficult to believe, but I can tell you honestly that anybody using my name is only doing political brigandage. I don’t need to sponsor anybody, because, when you get in office and you cannot perform, I will use the powers I derive from the constitution to remove you!”
Shittu urged the contestants to disregard the allegation, while wishing them all good luck in the elections.
