Apapa Customs Commands commissions clinic, gym

The Nigeria Customs Service has commissioned a clinic to provide basic and emergency healthcare to officers and stakeholders operating at its Apapa command. A refurbished gym centre was also commissioned by the command.

Speaking at the commissioning, Assistant Comptroller General of Customs in charge of Zone ‘A’, Katherine Ekekezie, commended the command for prioritizing healthcare just as she urged the officers to take advantage of the facility.

She noted that the clinic would further enhance the performance of the Apapa Command, which she said contributes about 80 percent of the total revenue generated in the zone.

On the gym, she said, “I enjoin the officers to make sure they utilize the gym because a healthy body is a healthy mind. This is a well-equipped gym so we are recommending it that every command in the zone should have something like this.”
