The Apapa Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has achieved a remarkable feat, generating N1.2 trillion in revenue between January and July 2024. This surpasses the total revenue collected for the entire 2023 fiscal year. In July alone, the command collected N201 billion, its highest monthly collection in history.
Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, the Customs Area Controller, attributed this success to the implementation of the Comptroller General of Customs’ thrust on time release studies, facilitating trade without delay.
He expressed confidence in surpassing this record, stating, “I am optimistic about beating this record in the coming months.”
