The Lagos Port Complex (LPC), Apapa on Tuesday commenced its annual health screening exercise. Part of events marking the exercise was the Food Handlers Fair held at the port.
Port Occupational Officer, LPC, Halima Abdul, said the essence of the event was to create more awareness on the importance of healthy eating among employees.
She said when employees know the importance of healthy eating, it will help enhance job productivity.
The event which is held biannually, according to her would continue on Wednesday with a fitness exercise and climax next Monday with a health lecture and screening exercise to examine employees’ health status.
