Azazi’s brother dies in boat mishap

Local divers searching for bodies of victims of a boat mishap in Ekermor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State have recovered two bodies.
Among them was the body of a Felix Azazi, identified as the younger brother of the late national security advser (NSA) to the president, General Owoeye Azazi.
The mishap occurred when one of the passenger boats heading towards Ojobo in Delta State capsized when it attempted to overtake another passenger boat.

The divers made up of community youths were said to have recovered the bodies of two of out three people confirmed dead in the accident.
According to sources in the community, the bodies, one of which was identified as that of Felix Azazi, younger brother of the late General Azazi, were recovered at Beautiful Gate Close, Torugbene, in neighbouring Delta State.
According to eyewitness, the boat mishap was caused by poor visibility, as the boat that capsized allegedly had no light.
It was gathered that the boat driver depended on a torchlight that did not give enough illumination.
The divers, who recovered the two bodies, were said to have found an inhaler in the pocket of the late Azazi when the body was brought out of the water.
