Buhari in technical stopover in the UK- Presidency

President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to arrive Nigeria two days after he left Washington DC where he had visited American President, Donald Trump, due to a technical stopover in the United Kingdom.

The Presidency through its Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, made this known on Thursday.

Shehu however, gave no further explanations on what meant by the technical stopover entailed but assured Nigerians of Buhari’s arrival in the shortest possible time.

He said, “They had a technical stopover in London. I am sure if you keep your ears to the ground, you will hear of his arrival soon.”

President Buhari was in London last year for several months to treat an undisclosed ailment.

He is scheduled to spend this weekend in his country home of Daura, Katsina State.

Meanwhile, Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina Adesina on his twitter handle wrote: “MB arrives Abuja this evening. The good work of rebuilding Nigeria continues.”

Buhari was in Washington for three days during which he met President Donald Trump at the White House.
