Chedi hands-over leadership of Customs FOU Zone B, Kaduna to Shuaibu

Comptroller Dalha Wada Chedi on Wednesday handed over the mantle of leadership of the Nigeria Customs Servie (NCS) Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone B, Kaduna to Comptroller Ahmadu Bello Shuaibu on Wednesday.

Chedi has been redeployed to the NCS Headquarters, Abuja, as the Comptroller of Enforcement.

He thanked the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi for the opportunity given to him to serve as head of FOU Zone B.

He urged officers and men of the unit to extend the same cooperation they gave him to his successor.

“I must commend you for your sacrifices, doggedness and tenacity throughout my stay as the Comptroller FOU ‘B’ Kaduna. Your hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence have been the driving force behind our collective achievement,” he said.

In his own remarks, the new Comptroller solicited the cooperation and synergy of all the security agencies as well as the media in the discharge of his duties.

He said, “We are public servants, everybody plays his or her own role in the project Nigeria. We are here to contribute our quota of ensuring that the mandate of NCS in revenue generation, anti-smuggling, trade facilitation and above all national security is achieved.

“We cannot do it alone without the cooperation of all the security agencies as well as the press. We must work together because we do not have any country other than Nigeria.”
