Factional President, National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agent (NCMDLCA), Festus Ejiofor is dead.
Founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Dr. Boniface Aniebonam who confirmed the incident to SHIPS & PORTS DAILY yesterday said Ejiofor died of heart attack in the early hours of Monday.
Aniebonam, who is also a close friend of the deceased, described Ejiofor’s death as “most unfortunate”.
“Ejiofor’s death is most unfortunate. Cardiac arrest is a serious illness that can steal anybody at any time, so it is a source of concern for us especially for people from 50 years and above.
“Those in the freight forwarding business should always be conscious of their health and check themselves at all times. Somebody at 50 years and still doing clearing job is just near the grave if he is not careful with what he does,” Aniebonam said.
Also speaking, National Publicity Secretary, Association of Nigeria License Customs Agent (ANLCA), Dr. Kayode Farinto said, “This is just telling us that we should be careful with our health. ANLCA is very sad about it. We commiserate with the family.”
