Controller, Western Marine Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Audu Zakka has bowed out of public Service after serving the statutory 35 years in Service.
Zakka was posted as Controller of the command, September 3rd 2012 from the Customs headquarters in Abuja where he served as Controller in charge of Excise.
At a brief handover ceremony held last Wednesday at the command, Zakka expressed appreciation for the support and cooperation he enjoined from his officers in the last two years saying he will miss them all.
Some of the officers who spoke with SHIPS & PORTS DAILY described him as a ‘man of his word’ who is highly dedicated to duty.
One of the officers, Tanko Isa said, “He is a hardworking man and I have never regretted working with him. He always encourage us to focus on our work and I will surely miss his good advice.”
He formally handed over to Chief Superintendent of Customs Johnson Gabriel who is expected to hold forth the mantle of leadership as acting Controller pending the appointment of a new Controller.
