A Bangladeshi ship anchored at the northern Black Sea port of Olvia in Ukraine has reportedly been hit by a missile, killing one crew member.

Footage of the explosion and aftermath have been shared on social.

Reports say the missile was fired against the MV Banglar Samriddhi, a 2018-built bulk carrier registered in Bangladesh.

The attack comes as Russia intensifies its invasion of Ukraine, increasing risks to ships and seafarers in the Black Sea.

Last week, at least two merchant ships were reportedly hit by shelling.
