Customs CG Adeniyi promises to operate open door policy

Adeniyi tours Customs HQ, promises to enhance staff welfare

The Acting Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi has said that he will operate an open door policy with the media in managing the affairs of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

Speaking at a media parley in Lagos on Sunday, the Customs boss said the media will have the opportunity to contribute ideas to his management team.

“I will be focused and deploy all that I have learnt from other Comptroller-Generals of Customs to achieve the best practice in Customs leadership. Also when there is need for corrections, please, don’t hesitate to call on me.

“I express my sincere gratitude to those who have honoured me today. We have actually honoured ourselves today because it is one of you that is here today and it is really a humbling experience for me that we started together over the years and God has given me the grace to come this far. I want to say a very big thank you to all of you.

“Once again, I am indeed very grateful. I feel happy and humbled that you have all given away your Sunday evening to felicitate with me. I pray I would not disappoint you. I pray I would be that Comptroller General of Customs that you wish I would be,” Adeniyi said.
