Denca, Ex-CRFFN boss, others aspire to sit on ANLCA Board

Bigwigs in the freight forwarding industry have indicated interests in vying for seats on the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Board of Trustees.

The ANLCA Board of Trustees (BoT) election, scheduled to hold February 13, 2014, will witness 13 prominent members of the association contesting to be members of the association’s highest advisory body.

According to the BoT aspirants’ list released by the association’s electoral body, the Association Electoral Commission (ASECO), and sent to SHIPS & PORTS DAILY, Chairman of the first governing council of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), Tony Iju Nwabunike; former ANLCA president, Sir Ernest Elochukwu; and Chief Dennis Okafor of Denca Services Limited, who until lately have not been an active member of ANLCA, will be contesting to be ANLCA board members.

Other aspirants are Alhaji Okunola Mikky Olarere, Mr. Emmanuel Obi Azodo, Alhaji Isa Liyu, Mr. Dayo Azeez, and Alhaji Mustapha Taiwo.

The present BoT Chairman, Chief Henry Njoku; Secretary, Prince Taiye Oyeniyi and their sitting members – Sir Enoch Iwueze, Chief Peter Obih and Alhaji Aare Sanni Shittu have also indicated interests to return to the ANLCA Board.
