The management of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has approved the appointment of Ndunofit Offiong as the new General Manager and Head, Public Affairs of the organisation.
Offiong, who until his promotion and appointment yesterday was the Assistant General Manager Audit at the NPA Headquarters, takes over from Chief Michael Kayode Ajayi.
The new NPA spokesman is not known to possess any previous experience in public relations.
Also, Musa Ilya, who was Assistant General Manager Public Affairs, Eastern Port was promoted General Manager Public Affairs, Eastern Port while Olufemi Oyejola was promoted General Manager Special Project.
Effioita Ephraim, who is in charge of NPA’s Abuja Liaison Officer was also promoted to the position of General Manager.
Ajayi, Ilya and Ephraim are due for retirement soon.
A memo signed by NPA Managing Director, Ms. Hadiza Bala Usman, sighted by SHIPS & PORTS DAILY yesterday stated that the new promotions and postings were with immediate effect.
