How to end smuggling of textiles – FG

The Federal Government says that smuggling of textiles can be stopped by producing cheaper and competitive materials in the country.
Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo said this at the State House in Abuja while receiving some chief executives of the industry.
Commending the operators for the effective application and prudent utilisation of the Cotton Textile and Garment Fund (CTGF) for the revival of the ailing textile industries in the country, Sambo said that the government was keenly interested in the growth of the sector due to its employment generation and wealth creation capacity.
Senator Walid Jubril, who led the textile executives to the Presidential Villa, said that the CTG fund had, among other things, helped boost income.
