It is Hausas all the way in the maritime industry

Buhari

Some stakeholders and Nigerians are beginning to raise eyebrows on President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointments into key maritime industry parastatals as all of them now have people of northern extraction as chief executives.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), the Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC), the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) are all head by Hausas.

The only maritime agency without a Hausa head is the Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) Oron.
