It’s NPA vs Navy; Customs vs NAGAFF in Maritime Cup 2023 semi-final clash

The ongoing Maritime Cup 2023 has entered its crucial stage with four former champions setting up an epic semi-final battle.

Defending champions Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA); 2009 champions Nigerian Navy; 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2017 champions Nigeria Customs Service and 2014 champions National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) on Monday won their quarter-final matches to book their place among the last four.

In the first set of quarter-final matches played at the NPA Sports Ground, Surulere, Lagos, yesterday; NPA defeated Josepdam Port Services (JPS) 2-0 while NAGAFF defeated Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) 5-0.

APM Terminals Apapa vs Nigeria Customs Service

In the second set of quarter-final matches played at the Stable Complex also in Surulere; Nigerian Navy defeated the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) 2-1 while Nigeria Customs Service defeated APM Terminals Apapa 3-0.

The two semi-final matches of the tournament will be played tomorrow at the Stable Complex. In the first match, NPA’s Koko Marines will take on Nigerian Navy’s Admiralty FC while NAGAFF will battle Customs for a place in the final. The matches will be played at 1pm and 3pm respectively.
