It has been reported this evening by The Nation newspaper that President Goodluck Jonathan has called his major challenger and the likely-winner of the 2015 presidential election, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to congratulate him.
According to the newspaper, the President spoke with Muhammadu Buhari on the phone and will address the country after rounding off his meeting with his cabinet.
He also reportedly spoke with the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
