Liberian Registry CEO resigns

The Chief Executive Officer of the Liberian Registry, Scott Bergeron, has resigned from the position. 

His resignation was confirmed by the Virginia-based Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry (LISCR). 

Bergeron was for a long time the face of the Liberian Registry, which he joined 19 years ago and where served as CEO sine 2011. 

LISCR, in a press release, did not offer reasons for Bergeron’s resignation. 

“The Cohen family, in particular Adam Cohen and Elan Cohen, continue to lead the organisation as Executive Chairmen,” it said.

LISCR also announced the appointment of Alfonso Castillero as Chief Operating Officer. Castillero was head of the Panama Ship Registry until 2014 when he joined the Liberian Registry.
