Magu, DSS boss meet Buhari at Aso Villa

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday attended the Jumat prayer in the mosque located inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This was contrary to the case last week Friday when the president returned to the country after 51 days of medical vacation in London.

He was however joined by top government functionaries joined Buhari amongst whom were the Senate-rejected Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu and the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura.

It will be recalled that Magu’s confirmation as substantive chairman of EFCC by the Senate failed on Wednesday based on a security report by the DSS.

DSS in its report said that Magu failed integrity test.

Responding, the anti-graft tzar also said that DSS lacked credibility.

But the Friday worship had brought them together at the Villa.

Reporters had waited at the corridor leading to the Council Chamber, the aisle Magu usually used to speak with him but were disappointed when he drove out with the NSA from the Presidential fore-court.

Meanwhile, others who participated in the prayer included the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje; Attorney- General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazzau; and National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno amongst others.
