Man bags 10 hours community service for boarding Maersk ship

An Apapa Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos on Friday sentenced a 28-year-old man, Micheal Odogwu to 10 hours of community service for illegally boarding a ship in Lagos.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Adeniyi Balogun had told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 4, 2018 at about 7am at Tin Can Island Port, Apapa.
Balogun said the accused entered Maersk Chennai without purchasing ticket with the intention of travelling to France.
Odogwu pleaded guilty to the one-count charge against him.
Magistrate A.S. Okubule sentenced him to 10 hours of community service.
