MAN Rector to sponsor Staff to ICA Seminar

The Rector, Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Mr. Joshua Okpo has said that arrangements have been concluded to sponsor seven workers of the Academy to attend the forth coming seminar of the Institute of Corporate Administration, ICA, which is scheduled to hold in Ghana first week of November 2013.
The Rector who dropped this hint during his induction as a Fellow of Institute of Corporate Administration in Uyo last Friday, said the essence of his gesture was to train MAN staff to be competent administrators who would be able to brace up for the challenges ahead.
The Rector who was represented by the Head, Public Relations Department of the Academy, Mr Siddi Mkpandiok, expressed satisfaction over the institute’s strict adherence to the principles of merit in administration as the basis of selection of recipients for its prestigious investiture as either member or fellow of the great institute.

Okpo stated that his achievement so far as the Rector of the nation’s premier maritime training institute is in tandem with President Jonathan’s Transformation Agenda in the transport sector particularly in the business of maritime training and education.
He reiterated his readiness to continue to contribute constructively to the administration of the country as a whole and further pledged his undivided attention to build a congregation of good administrators so as to help move the country to enviable heights and also encourage the institute in the propagation and attainment of its set goals and objectives.
He expressed enthusiasm over his induction as a Fellow of the institute and promised to deliver on his expectations as a chief administrator of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron and anywhere he finds himself.
