The Maritime Arbitrators Association of Nigeria (MAAN) is concluding arrangements towards hosting a one-day virtual workshop on “perspectives on the resolution of maritime disputes post-COVID-19”.
The president of the association, Adewale Jones, in a statement sent to SHIPS & PORTS, said the workshop will hold on Thursday November 18, 2021.
According to Jones, speakers at the event include the president of the Nigerian Maritime Law Association (NMLA), Funke Agbor (SAN); former President of Nigerian Shipowners Association (NISA), Aminu Umar; Country Manager of Maersk Nigeria, Lara Lana and an expert in trade facilitation, Ikenna Nwosu.
The event will be moderated by former president of MAAN, Adedoyin Rhodes-Vivour (SAN) while the Honorary Secretary of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association, James Clanchy will serve as discussant.
Jones said the workshop, which will be held at 11am via zoom (meeting link or meeting ID: 862 1322 3784, passcode: 295590), is open to the members of the public.
