Maritime Cup: ENL, ABTL, Josephdam win first matches

ENL Consortium defeats Dangote Ports in Maritime Cup match

ENL Consortium, operators of Terminals C and D at the Lagos Port Complex Apapa, on Wednesday morning defeated Dangote Ports Operation 5-0 in their Group A match encounter in the ongoing 11th Maritime Cup Competition. 

Also, Apapa Bulk Terminal defeated the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) 3-0 while Josephdam Port Services (JPS) triumphed over fellow terminal operator, Tin Can Island Container Terminal (TICT) 2-0. 

The two-week long competition, which kicked off in Lagos on Tuesday, is organised by Ships & Ports. 

The goals scored by ENL were courtesy of Saheed Babatunde, Gabriel Isaac, Emeka Uchechi, Sunday Uche and Salami Rasheed in the 8th, 31st, 36th, 52nd ad 73rd minutes of the match. 

JPS’ goals were scored in the 55th and 67th minutes of the match by Lebi Olamide and Esomojumi Adesoji respectively. 

All the teams will observe today as rest day while action resumes at 9am tomorrow as NPA takes on Dangote Ports Operation. ENL Consortium will also slug it out with Higher Pacific International (HPI) at 3pm. 

 All the matches are being played at the NPA Sports Ground, Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos.
