Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) will restructure its existing Asia to South Africa liner services into two direct loops.
The restructured network will see one service call South China and the other loop will directly connect Central China.
The South China Loop and Central China Loop services will commence from Taiwan’s Kaohsiung port on 9 October and Shanghai port on 15 October, respectively.
The South China Loop will have seven 4,200-5,800 teu container vessels serving the network while the Central China Loop will have six 4,200-5,800 teu container vessels.
“The newly restructured loops will further strengthen MOL’s service network from Asia to South Africa, while continuing to meet increasingly diverse commercial requirements,” MOL said.
