There is restriction of movement in and around Apapa today as President Muhammadu Buhari visits the Tin Can Island Port Complex to commission an MRS lubricant factory.
The President arrived Lagos yesterday on a two-day working visit.
He was at Ibeju-Lekki yesterday where he commissioned the Lekki Deep Sea Port and the Imota Rice Mill in Ikorodu.
SHIPS & PORTS correspondent reports that there is heavy security presence around Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports ahead of the President’s visit.
This is Buhari’s second visit to the Lagos ports in 18 months. He was at the Lagos Port Complex Apapa in June 2021 to inaugurate the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) deep blue project.
The President is also expected to commission the first phase of the Lagos blue rail line, as well as the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History before departing Lagos today.
