NAGAFF commends ANLCA over partnership with Redeemer’s University

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has commended its sister association, the Association of Nigerian Liscenced Customs Agents (ANLCA) for partnering Reedemers’ University of Nigeria (RUN) for the training of their members.

Speaking to SHIPS & PORTS DAILY’s correspondent last week, the founder of NAGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam said, “I am happy that ANLCA is beginning to take to areas of training especially now that they partnered with Redeemers’ University. ANLCA is following up now and they are helping in developing capacity of their members though this started in NAGAFF and education is very important.

Aniebonam however advised ANLCA members to support their President over the collection of the Practicing Operational Fee (POF) by the Council for Regulation of Freight Forwarding In Nigeria (CRFFN).

“I will advised them to follow their leader and I think Shittu is doing well. They should listen to him. Even watch Shittu now, you will see that he is keeping quiet and being silent is more dangerous. It is even better with someone like me who speaks at least you know my mind. Those who do not talk can be very dangerous. It is obvious that Shittu is not happy about the way the association is doing with the POF because all the documents he signed was done on their behalf so why the betrayal?”

“Well they said their national executive council is bigger than their NECOMS,” he said.

ANLCA had last week announced its alliance with the Redeemer’s University for the training of members of the association from August.

ANLCA National Publicity Secretary, Karinto Farinto, while announcing the partnership, said, “We have been training our members all around the world and we will continue to do that. Just recently, we reached a deal with Redeemers’ University on training for our members and we will not stop at that.

“The university will be using our secretariat as their study centre. That means the institution recognizes ANLCA as an association that is interested in training and building capacity for its members.”
