NPA begins payment of severance benefits to disengaged tally clerks

The President General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, has announced that the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) would commence payment of severance benefits to tally clerks and on board security men who were disengaged from the port in 2015 from Monday 23rd December 2019.

Minister of Transportation,  Rotimi Ameachi, had in September given approval for the payment of the severance benefits.

Adeyanju, who made the disclosure in a press statement made available to SHIPS & PORTS, on Friday, said the payment, which will commence from the Lagos area would take place at the NPA Sports Ground, Bode Thomas, Surulere.
