NPA staff kidnapped, released after paying N.3m ransom

A middle-aged female staff of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Comfort Ogundire, allegedly abducted last Tuesday, has been released after her family parted with N300,000.00 as ransom.
Ogundire, who works with the NPA Medical Department, it was learnt, was released at about 11.00pm last Thursday after the ransom had been paid to her abductors.

Though details of the incident are still very sketchy, it was learnt that her abductors allegedly outsmarted the police and succeeded in collecting the money without being apprehended.
The kidnappers had earlier demanded a N5million ransom, but the victim’s family negotiated till both parties arrived at N300,000.00.
