Nigeria’s oil and gas logistics giant, INTELS Nigeria Limited is spending princely sums of money to empower women in the Niger Delta region. One of several empowerment platforms created by INTELS is known as the Women Empowerment Programme Scheme Synergy (WEPSS). WEPSS is a multi-billion naira, fully equipped training facility located in the Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone where hundreds of women are trained daily in fashion design and sewing by world-class facilitators free of charge.
