Comptroller Tenny Mankini Daniyan has been appointed as the new Customs Area Controller, PTML Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
Daniyan took over the reigns of the command from Saidu Abba Yusuf, who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Comptroller General of Customs and posted to the NCS headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking at a brief handover ceremony on Friday, Comptroller Daniyan promised to fully implement the provisions of the Nigeria Customs Service Act 2023 by ensuring maximum revenue collection and enhanced trade facilitation.
He assured that the command will step up strategies to prevent revenue leakages in the drive to achieve the Federal Government’s economic goal.
The new Area Controller also promised to leverage on his long standing experience and robust interaction he garnered in PTML over the years where he had served as Deputy Comptroller in charge of revenue.
He promised to build on the existing customs community relations through regular stakeholder engagements, even as he assured that the command will work to achieve migration of compliatnt stakeholders to the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status and guide them on how to benefit from the Advanced Ruling scheme recently put in place by the NCS management.
