PTML, Grimaldi Agency Disown Fake Tariff Increase Notice Circulating Online

Ports & Terminal Multi-Services Limited (PTML) and Grimaldi Agency Nigeria have issued a public disclaimer, warning customers and the general public about a fraudulent document currently being shared on social media and other online platforms.

The document falsely claims to announce a tariff increase allegedly approved by the two organisations.

In a statement released on Monday, the management of PTML and Grimaldi Agency Nigeria described the circulating notice as “fake” and confirmed that it “did not originate” from either company.

“We categorically state that the document is fake and was issued by unknown third parties with ulterior motives to mislead the public and discredit our organisations,” the statement read.

Both companies reaffirmed their commitment to operating in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. They emphasised that any official communication regarding tariffs or operational changes is always released through authorised channels and duly communicated to the relevant government authorities, stakeholders, and clients.

The statement further urged customers and the public to disregard the fraudulent publication and to verify any information through official communication lines before acting upon it.

PTML and Grimaldi Agency Nigeria said they have also notified law enforcement and regulatory authorities to investigate the matter and take appropriate action against those behind the forgery.

“For further enquiries or clarification, members of the public are advised to contact the companies’ customer care centre via email at [email protected] or by telephone on 0700 444 46666,” the statement added.
