Shippers Council Collaborates with Military to Enhance Security in Apapa

 

The Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC) has announced a collaboration with the Arakan Military Cantonment to ensure the safety of lives and property in the Apapa ports community and its environs.

According to Pius Akutah, Executive Secretary of NSC, the military plays a crucial role in maintaining security in Apapa, making it a hub for trade and commerce.

Akutah emphasised the importance of continued synergy and interaction between the NSC and the military to strengthen their relationship.

Colonel Olusegun Opeyemi, Commander of the Arakan Military Cantonment, Apapa, reiterated the military’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, encouraging the NSC chief to engage freely with the Nigerian Army as needed.
