The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has pledged its support to the National Single Window (NSW) Steering Committee to enhance the platform’s operational efficiency in the country.
Pius Akutah, Executive Secretary/CEO of the council, made this commitment during a working visit from the NSW Steering Committee to the NSC headquarters.
Akutah emphasised the importance of automation in streamlining operational processes and urged relevant agencies to embrace it.
He expressed optimism that the National Single Window implementation would greatly benefit the Council and the nation’s seaports, aligning with the Federal Government’s goal of economic diversification through the non-oil sector.
Earlier, Tola Fakolade, Head of Project Secretariat for the National Single Window Steering Committee, appealed for stakeholders’ support to realise the government’s aspiration of operationalizing the project in Nigeria.
