Shippers’ Council wins most outstanding government parastatal award

Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has won the7th Annual Waves Gold Awards.
The maritime regulatory agency received ”Most Outstanding Government Parastatals, 2014” from National Waves Newspaper & Magazine.
The Publisher/the Editor-In-Chief of National Waves, Jimmy Enyeh who spoke on this development said that a four-man committee critically assessed the activities and performances of all the Federal Government parastatals including the Central Bank of Nigeria and after their assessment, the NSC’s activities in the year 2014 surpassed the other government agencies.
According to him, the Council has made tremendous achievements in the area of eradicating bureaucracy, bottleneck and efficient service delivery.
”It is on this account of the superlative performance that the Federal Government recently appointed the NSC as interim economic regulator pending the passage of the Port and Harbour Bill to give it the legal status it rightly deserves,” Enyeh said.
