Sifax boss, Afolabi buries father-in-law in grand style

As expected, there was a massive turnout of business gurus, government officials, top entertainment personalities and others penultimate Friday when the Sifax boss, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, bade farewell to his father-in-law, Chief David Gbadebo, who died in June.  Mrs. Folashade Afolabi lost her father and he was buried on June 21 in his home town, Sagamu.

The ancient town stood still as the businessman hosted eminent people, who came in large numbers to celebrate with him and his wife.

Sifax Group owns subsidiaries such as Sifax Shipping Ltd, Sifax Offdock Ltd, Sifax Stevedoring Ltd and Ports and Cargo Handling Services.

Afolabi has over 20 years cognate experience in the maritime industry. No doubt, his wealth of experience and organisational prudence have remained invaluable assets for Sifax Group.

For his exceptional performance and contributions to the shipping business and to the national economy, he was recently given an honourary degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Technology by the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).
