Stakeholders commend Tin Can Port over access road management

The management of Tin Can Island Port Complex (TCIPC) has been commended by stakeholders for bringing sanity into the port access road.
Some of the stakeholders who spoke with SHIPS & PORTS DAILY praised the TCIPC Port Manager, Mr. Babatunde Longe, for cleaning the removing shanties and illegal structures as well as other encumbrances along the port access road.
Public Relations Manager of TCIPC, Mr. Kingsley Ukabiala, said the port access road cleaning exercise was carried out with the aim of ensuring the availability of more enabling environment for greater operational efficiency.
Ukabiala said that the sanitation exercise has also been extended to Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) and “the neighbourhood of Barracks 1, 2, 3 has also been cleared of encumbrances in keeping with best practices and ensuring greater operational efficiency in the cargo clearance process.”
