Suspected robbers snatch MWUN boss’ car

Suspected robbers on Tuesday, stormed the Abuja Liaison Secretariat of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) located at Cameroun Road, Wuse, making away with the car of the union’s President-General, Comrade Emmanuel Anthony Nted.
The car, a black new Hyundai Accent at the time of theft was with number plate LAGOS EKY 75 AV.
SHIPS & PORTS DAILY gathered that the driver of the car was washing it in the morning when a two-man gang of armed robbers allegedly stormed the scene and forcefully took away the car.

It was learnt that, at the time of the alleged robbery, all the original documents of the car were inside it.
Confirming the incident, Nted said that he had only recently directed the driver to take the car to Abuja for his use any time he came to Abuja.
The MWUN boss said: “The robbers took away the car, the original documents among other things including the driver’s mobile phone. We have already alerted the Police about the robbery and we hope they will be able to find it.”
