Customs Area Controller, Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Tajudeen Olanrewaju has directed that containers that have been released at the port should not be re examined at the exit gate.
Olanrewaju was reacting to complaints by agents operating at the Tin Can Island Port Complex of alleged delay of consignments at the exit gate arising from frequent re examination of cargoes after it has been released by the releasing officer.
