Tinubu appoints Oyetola, Tunji-Ojo to oversee maritime, transport

Former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola and a former member of the House of Representatives, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, were among new ministers assigned portfolios on Wednesday by President Bola Tinubu. While Oyetola will serve as the Minister of Transportation, Tunji-Ojo was assigned the newly created Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.

As Minister of Transportation, Oyetola will oversee railway and land transport.

The new Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy will oversee the affairs of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Nigerian Ports Authority, Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and the Maritime Academy of Nigeria Oron.

The new Ministers, along with 43 others, will be sworn in at 10am on Monday at the State House Conference Centre, Aso Rock, Abuja.
