Tompolo’s father dies in Delta

Father of fugitive militant and embattled contractor of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Government Ekpemukpolo, aka Tompolo, is dead.

Thomas Ekpemupolo died on Wednesday morning at a private clinic in Warri where he had reportedly been receiving treatment from injuries he sustained on one of his legs during a siege by soldiers in his hometown in May. The soldiers were searching for Tompolo who is wanted for alleged stealing and conversion of various sums of money at NIMASA.

Spokesperson for Tompolo, Paul Bebenimibo, confirmed Tompolo senior’s death when contacted on telephone yesterday.
